BY ALL MEANS!

The prospect of a game with California next year will be hailed with enthusiasm by all Harvard men. It is no little disappointment that the Penn State game must be abandoned--this season's contest was the "high spot" in the first half of this season's schedule. But a game with California will be ample compensation. For though our own team has traveled to the Pacific, there to display its prowess, few undergraduates were present at the contest, and all will more than welcome a sort of return game in the form of an invasion from the West.

The friendly rivalry of East and West has in recent years assumed considerable proportions, and adherents of the West have not been reticent in expressing their opinion concerning relative merits. In football, California is fairly representative of the Far West; every son of Harvard awaits with eagerness the news that our challenge has been accepted.
