HARVARD 10, YALE 3

Wildly Cheering Thousands in Stadium Thrilled by Desperate Battle as Coach Fisher's Machine, Developing Powerful Offence, Sweeps to Victory Over Blue Eleven

The Stadium, Soldiers Field, Nov. 19.--At 1.05 o'clock the Yale and Harvard squads ran on the field for their respective preliminary practice. Five minutes later the Yale band followed and took up position in front of the Yale section and played several of the Eli songs. The preliminary drill for both squads consisted of passing and drop-kicking. At 1.25 o'clock the Yale squad left the field for the locker building, followed shortly after by the Harvard players. At 1.30 the University band marched on the field in "H" formation, playing "Harvardiana", "Soldiers Field" and "The Gridiron King" as it went. After the band stopped playing, the Yale stands gave a regular cheer which was returned a minute later by the Harvard.

The cheering was immediately followed by the singing of "Harvardiana" by the Crimson cheering section, accompanied by the band. The Elis reciprocated with "Bull Dog". The field is in better condition than was expected to be the case. The wind has dried it off to a great extent and, although a bit heavy, the gridiron does not appear to be as muddy and slippery as last Saturday in the Brown game. At 1.45 Captain Aldrich led the first Yale eleven on to the field, the rest of the squad following behind. Cheers from the Harvard and Yale stands greeted the Eli squad.

Quarterback O'Hearn put the Yale eleven through a snappy signal practice the length of the gridiron, while the Yale students sang "Good Night Poor Harvard55.
