Princeton, it would seem from the following "Warning From the Proctor" published in the Daily Princetonian, was published for the Harvard invasion in more ways than one.
"Owing to the large crowd which will be here tomorrow for the Harvard game, it is expected that a number of undesirables will undoubtedly visit Princeton: In order to prevent any thefts, the undersigned requests that the undergraduates observe the following precautions: Before leaving dormitory rooms all articles of value such as silverware, suits, overcoats, etc., should be put away and doors locked. Furcoats, suitcases, robes, cameras, and field glasses should not be left in automobiles parked on the street. If cars are left on the Campus or street at night, the doors should be locked and the lights left burning. All thefts or suspicious persons should be reported immediately.
