As part of their week of stiff training in preparation for the Princeton meet, the University cross-country runners will enter the mile run in this afternoon's handicap track meet. The rest of the week will be devoted to light work-outs over the Cambridge course. Yesterday afternoon, and Monday, the team practiced at Belmont. Nine miles at a good pace was the order on Monday, and yesterday a four-mile time trial was held.
The Freshmen, who also practiced at Belmont yesterday and Monday, will rest this afternoon. Tomorrow afternoon they will meet the Wakefield High School team. The race will be over the three mile Belmont course.
The first ten men in the University time trial yesterday finished as follows:
R. A. Luts '23, first; A. L. Coburn '24 and W. J. Burke '23, tied for second; F. G. Bemis '22, fourth; H. L. Pratt '22, fifth; J. U. Harris '24, sixth; William Duane Jr. '23, seventh; W. F. Eaton '23, eight; F. G. Hammond '22, ninth; and H. M. Mahon '23, tenth.
