In the National Amateur Athletic Pentathlon championship held on Traverse Island yesterday. E. O. Gourdin 1L., scored twelve points and secured first place. Gourdin holds the world's broad jump record and is also strong in the dashes. His principal opponent was Shies of New York, recent winner of the national Dacathlon title.
