The scene designing competition is open to all members of the Workshop. Specifications for a set of scenery to be used in a given play will be announced, and the best design submitted will be selected by Professor G. P. Baker '87. A knowledge of scene painting, which of itself requires less experience, is necessary for anyone intending to design scenes.

In the stage work competition about eight stage hands, including stage carpenters, stage electricians, and property men will be selected.

Although officials of the 47 Workshop are silent, it is believed that the names of plays written by members of English 47 to be produced in the Workshop this year will soon be announced.
