Sending his men through light formation work and defense practice, Coach Wachter closed a hard week's work in preparation for the Worcester Polytechnic Institute game which is to be played at Worcester tonight. As Worcester is reported to play two men under the basket when on the offense, the Crimson players were drilled especially in breaking up this formation. All of the University quintet are in good condition and are expected to give the strong engineers' aggregation a stiff fight.
Tech Team Studded With Stars
Berry, the center on the Worcester five, is a star point scorer and will probably be the man on the opponents' team who will be counted on to do most of their tallying. He is the engineers' most versatile threat, being equally able on offense and defense. Captain Pickwick, in the backfield, is another talented performer who the Crimson forwards will find it hard sledding to pass.
R. W. Fitts '23 and A. E. McLeish '23 will probably start at the forward positions with H. B. Tyson '23 at center. Fitts may, however, replace Tyson at center, T. C. McConell '21 taking Fitts' place. Acting Captain J. R. Tolbert '22 and S. B. Chase '21 will be in the backfield with W. V. Miller '23 in reserve.
The probable line-ups: Freshmen Bow to Graduates In a one-sided contest yesterday afternoon, the Freshman five was defeated by a quintet composed of Graduate Schools students to the tune of 47-16. The winners outplayed the 1924 team throughout, the game being featured by the fast passing and accurate shooting of the Graduates' forwards, of whom Bucklin was the star, scoring eight baskets from the floor, and two on free throws.
