CREW MEN REPORT FEB. 16

FRESHMEN TAKE UP WORK FEB. 14

Candidates for the University crow will be called out on Wednesday, February 16, when there will be a meeting in the Newell Boat House at which Captain L. B. McCagg '22 and Coach Haines will outline plans for the rowing season. It is important that all men who intend to try for the crew should be there with the definite hours of their classes and laboratories so that the rowing schedule may be made permanent. Organized rowing in the tank and on the machines will begin directly after the meeting.

On Monday, February 14, there will be a meeting of Freshman crew aspirants addressed by Dr. R. H. Howe '01 and Coach Burt Haines.

Numerous Races in Mind

It is hoped to arrange University crew races this spring with Cornell, Princeton and M. I. T., and a winning class crew race with Yale. For the Freshmen the managers will try to get races with Cornell, Princeton and M. I. T., and for the lower 1924 crews with Pomfret, Middlesex, Exeter and Groton.

The competition for Freshman manager begins on Monday, February 14. It will last for twelve weeks and five places are to be awarded. The two best candidates will become manager and assistant manager of the Freshman crew. They will make the trip to New London and will both receive their numerals. The three next candidates will be appointed members of the regatta committee, which has charge of the Harvard Invitation Regatta to be held some time in May.
