A stiff battle is expected at Soldiers Field on Friday morning when the nines of key men from the University and Yale Chapters of Phi Beta Kappa meet in their annual game. Reports from Yale indicate that a strong team is holding hard practice, while at the University a powerful nine is being whipped into shape. In a recent practice game with a combination team of baseball managers and the substitutes of the University squad, the Phi Beta Kappa men showed to advantage. The probable battery for the home outfit will be T. M. Graves '20, pitcher, and M. T. B. Spalding '20, catcher, while for Yale Jackson will pitch and Beardsley catch.
The evening before the game a dinner at the Cranford Club will be given by the University chapter for the visiting Yale players.
