Wanted--A Phonograph

To the Editors of the CRIMSON:--

I have just received a letter from a former Harvard student who was in the service during the war, returned to College and after about six months had to give up his College work on account of sickness.

He is suffering from tuberculosis of the spine and is confined to the bed all the time and has to wear an iron brace to keep his body rigid.

I quote as follows from a letter received from him:

My appetite is so poor and my other needs so limited while I am in bed, as I shall be for some months, that I can think of but one thing that would help me--that is a graphophone and a few musical comedy and band records. That would help chase the blues, but it is not a necessity.

I am wondering if you gave publicity to this, if there is not some student leaving College and has a graphophone that he would be willing to send to this boy or sell to me. Also, some of the boys may have spare records that they might be glad to donate for this purpose, and I should be very glad to send the machine and the records if you find anyone who would like to help in this very worthy cause.

This boy has wonderful courage and is sure he is going to get well and be able to return to College and graduate. G. M. ANGIER.
