FRESHMEN MEET EXETER

LINE-UP UNCHANGED

HARVARD 1923.  EXETER. Clark, r.f.  c.f., Dagastino Buell, 3b.  1b., Barry Thayer, c.f.  l.f., Jones Owen, p.  2b., Hatcher Bancroft, 1b.  3b., O'Hearn Lee, 2b.  s.s., McGlone, Burke Worthington, s.s.  r.f., Mullen, Bullard Garland, r.f.  c., Handy Keegan, c.  p., Seubert, VanLegen, Cook

No shifts have been made in the line-up of the Freshman nine which will play against Exeter today at Exeter, N. H. Coach Young is satisfied that the team which lost to Holy Cross 1923 9-8 last Wednesday is the best combination possible at present, and one which will give a good account of itself in the game today. G. Owen, who pitched stellar ball for seven innings against Holy Cross, will again be in the box for the Freshmen. Against the Exeter pitchers, who are the chief weakness of their team, the 1923 batsmen should be able to make a good showing in the hit and run column.

Exeter's ball team is scarcely up to standard this year, the weakness in the pitching staff having proved fatal in several games, although the infield, led by Captain Barry at first base is tight and hard hitting. They were defeated by Holy Cross 1923 8-7, and also dropped a close game to Worcester Academy, but defeated the Dartmouth Freshmen.
