NEW HAVEN, Conn., May 12.--Herbert Hoover received the nomination for President on the third ballot at the Yale Republican convention held here today.
The scores of the ballots are as follows: First ballot, Hoover 1239, Leonard Wood 968, Frank O. Lowden 173, Hiram Johnson 156; second ballot, Hoover 1397, Wood 1125, Johnson 52; third ballot, Hoover 1447, Wood 1026.
