Fifty-nine to forty-five was the score by which the Tiger track team defeated the Elis in the dual meet held at New Haven on Saturday. Superiority in the dashes and hurdles, and strength in the quarter, half, mile and two-mile runs gained the victory for the Princetonians--the second in the history of the sport between the two colleges, and the first since 1910. Swede, the Tiger miler, made the best time of the afternoon, winning his event, in spite of mud and rain, in 4 minutes, 34 4-5 seconds. Captain Erdman capturing both hurdles, and R. E. Brown both dashes, for Princeton, were the individual stars of the meet.
The Freshman contest was closer, the Yale athletes winning by a third of a point, 52 1-6 to 51 5-6.
