100 INSTITUTIONS WILL BE REPRESENTED AT SILVER BAY

Quota of 100 Delegates to Conference is Assigned to University.

About one hundred colleges and universities of New England and the Middle Atlantic states will be represented at the thirty-fifth annual Student Conference to be held this year at Silver Bay on Lake George from June 25 to July 4. Attendance to the conference, which is usually held at Northfield, is to be limited to 800 men, and the University committee is allowed a quota of 100 delegates. The foremost purposes of the conference are to promote intercollegiate fellowship, to give help on personal, moral, religious, and life-work problems, and to give, by means of speeches, discussion groups, and personal talks, deeper understanding of personal and social meanings of Christianity. Several of the greatest speakers to students in the country have already accepted the invitations of the Conference Committee.

Silver Bay is situated 26 miles from the head of the lake, just above the narrows, and is one of the most beautiful spots in the lake. The location and equipment of the conference site are ideal and the fine athletic fields offer opportunities for tennis and baseball. Fishing, aquatic sports, and mountain climbing will also play an important part of the recreative life of the Conference.

Coach Pattee of the Brown baseball team has retained 19 players who are taking advantage of the enforced vacation by engaging in extensive practice daily.
