Professor Joseph Warren '97, president of the Leonard Wood Club of Harvard, will preside over the political rally of the Wood Club which is to be held in the Living Room of the Union at 7.30 o'clock this evening. He will also give a short account of the political and military life of Major-General Wood. This is the first step in real campaigning in Harvard for the 1920 presidential elections.
Unfortunately, late last night it was learned that the Honorable Samuel George, who was to address the rally this evening had been taken ill and would be unable to attend. The headquarters of the Wood For President League in Boston, however, have promised to secure a man to take Senator George's place, and the meeting will be held as planned.
Dr. Paul Withington '09 will also speak, describing the activities of Leonard Wood during his work at Camp Funston.
This meeting, which is the first of a series to be held for the promotion of interest throughout the University in favor of General Wood as Republican nominee for the presidency, is open to all men of the University.
