The meeting at the Union tonight to organize the James A. Shannon Post of the American Legion deserves more than a mere complimentary attendance on the part of the undergraduate body, including these men who are members of local posts elsewhere. The American Legion, with its tremendous enrollment, is capable of performing an inestimable service to the country.
It is the duty of University men to exert their influence that this service be maintained on an altruistic and patriotic plane.
