MANY STRONG ELEVENS ON FOOTBALL SCHEDULE

PENN STATE PROBABLE OPPONENT

The football schedule for 1921 will include a number of strong teams, and some which the University has never faced before. Efforts are being made to arrange as attractive a schedule as possible, while still making it lead up to the Yale game.

It now seems probable that if Centre College will agree to accept the date of October 29 instead of the 22d, Penn State will play the University football team in 1921. However, if Centre can not change dates, it will be impossible to include Penn in the schedule as they have closed on the 15th and offer too stiff opposition to be placed just before the Princeton game.

Should the Kentuckians agree to the change and Penn should accept the 22d, the game would be one worth seeing. This last season Penn had one of the strongest teams in the East, and with Pitt. Princeton and the University are considered claimants for the Eastern championship title. Next fall, however, although the Penn eleven will be without the services of Way and Haines, it will be exceptionally strong, and with a line developed by Bezdek, will offer the right kind of opposition for the University eleven before meeting the Tigers.

Boston University will be one of the teams which the Crimson will meet in its double-header on September 24, but as yet the other eleven has not been selected. However, negotiations are under way with Norwich, Middleboro and New Hampshire State, and it is probable that one of these three teams will accept.

Should Centre College agree to accept October 29, another change would have to be made. It now seems that the only date which will suit Colgate is the 29th, and in the event that the Kentuckians find it possible to move up a week, Colgate will necessarily be omitted. In any event, this leaves October the 15th open, and it is a possibility that the University of Georgia will play in the Stadium on this Saturday
