Two plays have been chosen by the "47 Workshop" for its annual fall production, to be given this year on December 17th and 18th. The first is a one-act play, "Mis' Mercy," by Louise W. Bray, who was a member of "English 47" last year. It is an interesting bit of realism.
Rachel Lyman Field's "Time Will Tell," a three-act fantasy, is to be the other play on the program. Miss Field was a member of "English 47" about four years ago and will be remembered for her very successful piece. "Three Pills in a Bottle."
In choosing the plays for the coming production. Professor Baker has been limited by the fact that the manuscripts have not been released yet from the Oliver Morosco Prize Competition. "Time Will Tell" has, however, been awaiting production for some time and Professor Baker is pleased to be able to take this opportunity for its presentation, hoping to find plays now submitted in the Morosco Competition, which, it is expected, will be settled by the 15th of this month, suitable for later productions.
As a result of daily trials and rehearsals during the past week, the casts for the plays, which include many of the well-known members of the "47 Workshop" Company, have been finally drafted and are announced as follows:
