The Reverend Harry Emerson Fosdick, D.D., Professor of Practical Theology at the Union Theological Seminary, New York City, will conduct morning prayers in Appleton Chapel this morning at 8.45 o'clock. The services will close promptly at 9 o'clock, in order to allow students to reach their classes at that hour. Dr. Fosdick will serve as College preacher through Thursday only this week.
Dr. Fosdick is one of the most distinguished men of the group who act as College preachers throughout the year. His books, "The Meaning of Prayer," "The Challenge of the Present Crisis," "The Meaning of Faith" and other well-known volumes, and his striking broad-minded theories on "the uselessness of sectarianism" and other religious problems of the day, have brought him into prominence among the spiritual leaders of our times.
