"Vogues and Vanities," the musical review lately put on at the Majestic Theatre, has suddenly terminated its run. A sprained ankle on the part of Anna Wheaton one of the stars in the cast, has been advanced as the reason for abandoning further performances of this apparently popular show.

It is to be regretted that "Vogues and Vanities" should cease playing when its musical score has not yet been offered to the public. Some of the tunes were decidedly worth-while and seemed destined to develop into highly acclaimed dance pieces.

The Royal English Opera Company has closed its engagement at the Boston Opera House.

Walter Hampden will begin a two weeks engagement at the Arlington Theatre on Monday next.

"Apple Blossoms," the operetta for which Fritz Kreisler composed a good part of the music, will take the place of "The Night Boat" at the Colonial Theatre Monday night.

The run of "Pagans," which commenced at the Plymouth this week, is limited to but two weeks, after which it will move directly to New York.

The Henry Jewett Players will present "Charley's Aunt," beginning December 20.

Nora Bayes is at the moment playing in Philadelphia in "Her Family Tree."

Frank Bacon will, on New Year's Eve, have played his one thousandth performance in the phenomenal New York success, "Lightnin'."
