TARDY SUBSCRIBERS URGED TO ENROLL AT ONCE AS DRIVE LAGS

IMPORTANT MEETING TODAY FOR DORMITORY CHAIRMEN

Although a few more men who do not live in the dormitories subscribed to the Endowment Fund yesterday, the drive is lagging. The committee is making every effort to get into communication with all the men who have as yet not signed up, in order to secure their subscriptions; but the task is proving extremely difficult. Unless these men report at the office of the College Endowment Fund Committee in the Crimson Building at once and enroll, there is little possibility that the 100 percent mark can be reached.

Chairmen Must Stay On Job

Any chairman of a dormitory which has not gone "over the top" is expected by the committee to see the men who are unenrolled unless they are absent, due to sickness.

There will be an important meeting for chairmen in charge of the drive among students not living in the dormitories and for the class chairmen in the Crimson Building today at 1.05.

Graduate Fund Boosted

Reports received yesterday from the graduate drive showed that the campaign among the graduates according to classes had been a success, although it had fallen short of the $2,800,000 mark which had been set. This campaign, which lasted only four weeks, resulted in adding 2000 formerly non-subscribing alumni to the Endowment Fund roster and in the receipt of an additional million dollars. This was achieved in the face of adverse financial conditions both at home and abroad, and without the incentive of the initial effort of last year.

When this campaign among the alumni according to classes finished, the Executice Committees of a number of classes asked to be allowed to continue the canvass with the object both of bettering the class average and of adding a few more thousand dollars in the belief that it may encourage others to join in raising the remaining $1,800,000 needed.
