Sears Prize of $100 on Argument: "What Responsibilities to the People?"

It was recently announced that the Richard Sears Prize of $100 would be awarded for the best oral argument on the subject, "What Responsibilities Has Congress to the People?" It was further stipulated that each contestant should hand in a brief to the Department of Government on this subject and as a result of these briefs, the contestants would be chosen.

On a basis of the briefs submitted, the following men have been selected to make the oral arguments: W. S. Holbrook Jr. '21, J. H. Lewis '23 and C. W. Phelps '22.

Contestants may received their briefs on application at Widener 774. The oral arguments will be heard by the Department of Government in Widener N at 4 P. M. on Monday, December the 20th, and, as stated previously, each man should plan to occupy about 30 minutes in the presentation of his case.
