The Union's Answer

Communication

To the Editors of the CRIMSON:

In reply to Mr. Webber's letter, dated November 7th, which appears in your columns today, I would say that it has not been the policy of the Union to cash checks at the newsstand heretofore. However, I find, on looking into the matter, that some checks have been cashed when this privilege was especially asked for by members personally known to the cashier.

This matter has been taken up by the Governing Board of the Union, and it has been decided that in the future checks not exceeding $15 shall be cashed for all members of the union upon presentation of a membership card at the newsstand; providing the funds are on hand.

I wish to thank Mr. Webber for his suggestion, and to assure him that the Union management is anxious to receive such criticisms as his. We shall be glad to take up any further suggestions that he or any one else may offer toward making the Union a more representative and all inclusive Club for Harvard students and especially for undergraduates. JOHN U. NEF '20, November 12, 1920.
