Tonight Harvard's hockey team will meet Yale in an attempt to follow the example of the victorious eleven. Although the record of early season games shows no victory for the University upon the ice, the complete stories of those contests tell a tale of increasing strength and skill on the part of the Crimson team which makes the combination appear fully capable of handling its blue-clad opponents. In order to wrest the victory from Yale, however, the sextet will be forced to show a faster, keener brand of hockey than it has disclosed thus far. The Eli team is composed entirely of veteran players and has not been entirely unsuccessful in its invasion of Canada during Christmas vacation. Moreover, it is a practical fact that any Yale team is far more dangerous when pitted against Harvard than at any other time.
When two such evenly matched teams meet, the outcome very often remains in the hands of the spectators. Just as strong undergraduate support brought the spirit to win into the eleven last fall, an enthusiastic backing at the Pavilion can do much to win tonight's game.
