At a mass meeting of Freshmen held in Gore Hall Common Room last night $10,400 was contributed toward the completion of the class quota. The amount was raised by oral bidding. Another sum of equal size will take 1922 over the top.
The College needs $26,050 more to complete its quota. The Junior Class has shown no marked progress and has yet to subscribe 73 per cent of its assigned quota of $21,000. The prescribed amount for the Sophomore Class has been approached to within $4,100 and at the present rate of advance 1921 will be over the top Thursday night. The Senior Class quota is now over subscribed $3,550. Though the loan is progressing nearly according to schedule five-sixths of the University undergraduates have failed to co-operate in the drive.
The victory Liberty Loan Office in the CRIMSON Building is now open from 9 to 1 o'clock in the morning and from 6-8 o'clock in the evening. Men who because of living at home or who for any other reason have bot been approached by a canvasser may purchase bonds through this office. Buyers through the Charles River Trust Company should take their white slips directly to the bank and get their bank receipts. The Cambridge Trust Company receipts are at the office of the University Victory Liberty Loan Committee and must be called for immediately.
