To the Editors of the CRIMSON:

The "Goodnight" editorial in the CRIMSON of Thursday last voiced an opinion which it is hoped will find further expression in the CRIMSON and other University publications. Evidence of interest on the part of the student body is necessary if training in Aeronautics is to be provided here rather than at Tech or other nearby institutions.

The plans for enlarging the Air Service to 87 squadrons, aggregating 6,000 planes, makes very probable the rumor that the government is to establish schools in Aeronautics at several of the colleges.

In order that there may be some written manifestation of the student body's desire, a petition to the corporation for a course in Aeronautics will be left in the Common Room of Weld for the signatures of all men who are interested in learning to fly. HARVARD AERONAUTICAL SOCIETY.
