The thirty-third annual play of the Cercle Francais will be given next Wednesday and the following Friday afternoons at the Copley Theatre in Boston. This year the play is to be a reproduction of "Sire," by Henri Lavedon, who has only recently authorized its performance in America. "Sire," which has for its background the Revolution of 1848, is built around two chief figures, Roulette and La Comtesse, the parts of which are acted by Edgar Scott '20 and Mrs. Charles Sumner Bird, Jr., of Boston.
Monsieur Edouard Darmand has had charge of the coaching of the production. Proceeds of the performance will be for the benefit of the American Committee for Devastated France.
Tickets at $2.00, $1.50, and $1.00 may be obtained upon application to W. R. Wallace, Jr., at 4 Beck Hall, at the Cooperative Branch, at Herrick's or at the Copley Theatre.
