This afternoon the last opportunity of the year will be afforded the members of the Freshman and Sophomore classes to come out for the CRIMSON, when the candidates for the news and editorial departments of the paper report at the CRIMSON Building at 5.30 o'clock. This will be the final chance for men of the Junior Class to compete for positions on the board, and will also mark the closing of news competitions to members of 1921. All men, regardless of other activities, who are interested in the work of competing for the CRIMSON should report at that time.
New candidates will be handicapped in no way in their competitions, nor will members of 1922 be at a disadvantage in competing against Sophomores for the two competitions are conducted separately. The work of news competitors will consist of a nine weeks' competition in writing up suitable news and doing office work of various sorts in connection with the paper. One of these duties is that of assisting, from time to time in putting the paper to press.
The editorial candidates will be under the supervision of the Editorial Chairman, and are expected to write and get into print a certain number of editorials during the competition in order to be successful. This work will also last nine weeks, ending with the board elections late in May.
