Preliminary trials for contestants for the Lee Wade II Prizes will be held at 7.30 Monday evening, April 14, the place to be announced later. The prizes are "awarded annually in three prizes,--one first prize of twenty-five dollars, one second prize of fifteen dollars, and one third prize of ten dollars,--to those students of the Sophomore, Junior and Senior classes, who show their excellence in reciting a selection in poetry or prose which shall be chosen by the donor or those appointed by him." They were established in 1915 by Dr. Francis Henry Wade in memory of his son, Lee Wade 2nd '14.
Students desiring to compete should consult Professor I. L. Winter at Holden Chapel today at 9.30, 10, 11, or 12 or Monday at 2.15, 3.30, or 5.30. The conditions of the contest as well as the date for the final contest will then be explained.
