Lieut. R. H. Coleman, Law '17
Lieutenant Robert Henry Coleman, Law '17, Air Service, died of pneumonia at Base Hospital No. 33 in France on Oct. 9, 1918. He left the Law School to enter the U. S. N. R. F., but was later transferred to the Air Service. While crossing to France in September he was taken ill with influenza, from the effects of which he died.
Lieut. C. B. Grayson. Law '17.
Lieutenant Clifford Barker Grayson, Law '17, Co. B, 9th Inf., A. E. F., was killed in action. He was a graduate of the first officers' training camp, Ft. Oglethorpe, Ga., and received his commission in August, 1917.
Lieut. G. H. Kissel '16.
Lieutenant Gustav Hermann Kissel '16, a flight pilot attached to the Royal Air Force, who has been missing since April 12, 1918, is now reported as killed in action. He enlisted in May as a private in the Aviation Section of the Signal Corps, completed the course at M. I. T., and went to France the following July for further training. After two months, he was ordered to England, where he received a commission in the R. A. F.
J. B. Van Shaick, Law '89.
John Brodhead Van Shaick, Law '89, Y. M. C. A. secretary in France, died there Dec. 11, 1918, from influenza. At the outbreak of the war he enlisted with the American Ambulance Corps, with which he served for a year and was then transferred to the Y. M. C. A. service.
