The Great American University is as mythical as the Great American Novel. The longer we have to wait for it, the less confidently do we expect it. But that is no reason for not making our universities more national than they are now. Princeton is not the only such institution to realize the advantage, if not indeed the necesisty, of enlisting all parts of the country under her banner. New York Evening Post.
