Plans for giving students academic credit for the time spent in military service have been evolved at both Princeton and Yale. At Yale the arrangement has been to give men returning from service a third of a year's credit for satisfactory military work. This decision will enable 1919 men who left college in June of 1918 to graduate with their regular class, and those who left the year before to graduate in June of 1920. A proportionate adjustment is being made for the class of 1918.
Princeton men who satisfactorily complete the present two-thirds of a year will be credited with a full year's work.
These two plans are essentially the same in that they offer a third of a year's credit for military work. They are primarily designed to round out the year of the men who are steadily returning to college.
