1922 Oarsmen Will Start Practice

Over seventy-five men attended the crew meeting last night in the common room of Standish hall; Coach Haines and several alumni spoke of the prospects and work for the coming season.

Coach Haines announced that regular practice for the Freshman crew would start this afternoon at 2 o'clock and that although the machines would be used for a short time, work in the boathouse tank would commence as soon as possible.

J. N. Borland '21, captain of last year's freshman crew then spoke on the necessity of adhering strictly to the training rules, and brought out a few of the advantages that could be derived by the crew candidates.

Bartlett Harwood '15, spoke for the graduate rowing committee and then C. C. Lund '16, who was stroke on the 1916 crew and for the English Henley champions, gave a few minutes' talk. Voluntary practice has ended.
