The University Red Cross drive for the second War Fund of $100,000,000 closed last evening with $4,481.70 collected during the week. On Saturday morning less than $2,500 had been subscribed, but several large subscriptions increased the totals to their present figures.

Three undergraduate teams canvassed the University dormitories throughout the campaign, with the result that nearly every student subscribed. Team 1 was led by D. C. Hawkins '20, Team 2 by E. A. McCouch '20 with A. Houghton '21 as sub-chairman, and Team 3 by J. C. Bolton '20.

Cambridge nearly doubled the minimum assigned to it by subscribing $207,000 when a quota of $126,000 had been set. A large subscription of $31,935 was also reported from the University Faculty, while Radcliffe contributed $2,100.

While the New England management of the second Red Cross War Fund declined to make any estimate of the total subscription last night, confining itself to the early official figures, $8,471,000, it seemed certain that the $9,000,000 mark had been reached.
