1921 went down to defeat at the hands of the Princeton freshmen on Soldiers Field Saturday afternoon by a score of 6 to 2. Margetts, the visitors' pitcher, held his opponents to five hits, while his teammates made six runs by taking advantage of five errors, five bases on balls and eight hits.
The Freshmen started the scoring in the first inning when J. T. Baldwin was hit by a pitched ball, took second on H. P. King's sacrifice, and scored on T. J. Meehan's single. Princeton regained the lead in the third with two scores, added three more runs in the fifth and one in the sixth inning.
Baldwin, of the University' Freshmen, was the individual star of the game, making a home run in the fifth, while Meehan was a close second with two singles and perfect fielding record.
