1921 EASY RELAY VICTORS; STANDISH WON DORM RACE

FRESHMAN MEET SATURDAY

Honors in the interdormitory relay race and the Freshman-Upperclass relay, the last two events of the mid-winter track carnival held yesterday afternoon, went to Standish Hall and the Freshman Class. Bad weather conditions caused the postponement of these races, which were originally scheduled for last Thursday and Friday.

The dormitory relays were run off at 4 o'clock and resulted in a decided victory for Standish, with a Gore a rather weak second, and Smith a poor third.

Freshmen Easy Victors.

At 4.15 o'clock the Freshman-Upperclass relay started, the 1921 men showing great superiority over the more experienced runners and finishing almost half a lap ahead of their opponents. The teams were made up as follows: Freshmen--G. S. Baldwin, J. M. B. Churchill, C. A. Page, F. L. A. Cady, D. F. O'Connell, A. W. Douglass; Upperclass--D. J. Duggan '20, C. F. Batchelder '20, J. F. Linder '19, P. E. Stevenson '20, S. B. Toye '18, W. H. Goodwin '20.

The 1921 runners and field event men for the Worcester Academy meet which will take place on Soldiers Field Saturday will be announced tomorrow, the men being picked in large part for their record in the carnival. Though definite arrangements have not yet been made, it is probable that the meet will begin at 3 o'clock and be over before 5.
