Beginning with the week of March 4, regular drill for members of Military Science 1 and 2 will be resumed, according to an announcement issued last night by the Military Office. For some time, at least, the work will be divided equally between bayonet exercises and position and aiming drills with the rifle. Every week one hour will be devoted to this practical work.
The bayonet instruction will be given outdoors, weather permitting, while the position and aiming exercises are to be held in the baseball cage. Coach Leslabay, who for several seasons has instructed the University fencing team, and who last summer was a captain in the R. O. T. C. and director of bayonet work, will have charge of the bayonet drills this spring. To assist him in this work. Coach Leslabay will select five men from each company who are already proficient in the various bayonet drills.
Drills in Morning
During the spring the drills for the University corps will be held in the morning from 7.30 to 8.30 o'clock. Each morning two companies are to drill in accordance with the following schedule: Companies I and K on Monday, L and M on Tuesday, A and B on Wednesday, C and D on Thursday, E and F on Friday and G and H on Saturday.
