The War Department has informed the University Office that the minimum age limit for candidates for army air service has been reduced to 19 years. This will enable many men who have failed to be accepted to make their applications again to enter this field. The army air service needs "athletes who are quick-witted, punctual and reliable. Intelligent men accustomed to making quick decisions are highly desirable. Men who ride well, can sail a fast boat, or handle a motorcycle usually make good air pilots."
The former age-limit was 21 years, to which it was raised only a short time ago.
