The competition for the business department of the Illustrated for 1917-18 will begin tonight at 6.45 when the work of the competition will be outlined at the Illustrated office, 1284 Massachusetts avenue.
The business candidates are required to solicit advertising and do a certain amount of clerical work. Such experience as may be gained from contact with business men and the operation of the paper will be valuable to a man after graduation, and in addition the successful candidates will have the opportunity of competing for the office of business manager in their Junior year.
All members of the present Freshman and Sophomore classes are eligible to compete.
