COMMENCEMENT EXERCISES TO BE IN SANDERS THEATRE

NO TICKETS FOR ALUMNI

Because of the large number of men who have entered or are training for military service and who will necessarily be absent from Cambridge on June 21, it has been found necessary to hold the Commencement exercises in Sanders Theatre and not in the Stadium as was previously announced. Following the precedent of last year, it had been planned to hold these exercises in the Stadium because of the increased room and comfort thereby gained, but since military training will greatly decrease the number who will be able to be present at Commencement, the University authorities believe Sanders Theatre will be large enough to accommodate those who attend.

On account of this change, the distribution of tickets will not be on the plan announced in earlier notices. Dr. C. C. Little '10, acting University Marshal, has made the following announcement in regard to tickets:

"Candidates for degrees do not themselves need tickets of admission to Sanders Theatre. A limited number of tickets are available for candidates for the use of their friends. These tickets will be distributed under the direction of the Deans of the various Schools on Friday, June 15. No candidate will receive more than one ticket.

"No tickets will be available for alumni.

"No member of the teaching staff other than members of the various faculties will be entitled to tickets. Faculty members may apply for one ticket each for a member of their family. Inasmuch as the change in program occurs at a late date, it will not be possible to send out printed application blanks. In order to obtain tickets, however, application should be made immediately in writing by members of the faculties to the acting University Marshal, 5 University Hall, Cambridge."
