Reserve Officers' Training Corps

Notice:--

April 11, 1917.

New enrolments for the Reserve Officers' Training Corps of students now registered in the University will be made after the April recess. Full particulars as to the manner of enrolment will be announced later.

The instruction for the new increment of students will commence May 7th.

Intensive training starts May 7th for all members of the Reserve Officers' Training Corps. No other class of men will be accepted for, nor permitted to remain in, the Corps.

For those now in the training Corps who, do not desire to take up intensive training on May 7, 1917, a special final examination will be held in Military Science and Tactics, and the students who complete this examination will be discharged from the Training Corps in order that they may continue their other academic studies. In this connection, it is stated, for the information of those concerned, that the War Department does not desire at this time to have any members in the Corps who are not going in for intensive training with the full understanding that they are to become officers.

Anyone under 19 years of age will not be accepted. This does not in any way affect those already in the Corps who may be under 19 years of age. C. CORDIER,   Captain, U. S. Army, Commandant.   War Department,   April 7, 1917.

First Sergt. Frederick Boyd, U. S. A., retired, New Haven, Conn., is detailed to active duty at Harvard University, to take effect April 15, 1917.
