CLOTHING COLLECTION TO END

Wagon Will be Sent Around to Gather Articles This Afternoon.

The annual spring collection of clothing, magazines and text-books under the auspices of the Phillips Brooks House will close today. Men who still have articles they wish to give are requested to deliver them to the collectors in their dormitories, while those living in private houses who wish to contribute are requested to bring their offerings to the nearest dormitory. The wagon will be around to get the clothes, books and magazines from the entry collectors at 2 o'clock this afternoon. Collectors are reminded to leave everything collected on the floor in front of the doors in their room, and to leave their door unlocked this afternoon.

Some of the clothing collected is to be sent to the war sufferers in Europe. The greater part, however, will be distributed among charitable institutions in Cambridge and Boston, while a small quantity will be sent to the South. Magazines are to go to hospitals and reading rooms of charitable institutions.

For the benefit of those members of the University who have not given clothes because they had only old and shabby articles, the Phillips Brooks House states again that any and all old clothes are wanted and needed. Sweaters, shirts, hats, gloves, underwear, neck-wear, and shoes are especially wanted. Text-books of all kinds, particularly those read in the larger courses, such as History 1, English 28, and Economics A, are also needed for the Phillips Brooks House Loan Library.
