FRESHMAN SONG-FESTS TO START

First Weekly Gathering to be Held in Smith Common Room Tonight.

The first of the weekly Freshman songfests arranged by the Dormitory singing leaders will be held in Smith Common Room tonight at 7 o'clock, and all members of 1920 are invited to be present. Well-known songs in which everyone can join will be sung under the direction of Dr. A. T. Davison '06, who is in charge of Freshman music in general.

Singers will be tried out for the Glee Club in Smith Common Room at the conclusion of the song-fest.

Candidates for the Banjo and Mandolin Clubs will report in Standish Common Room tonight at 7.45 o'clock. L. C. Laughlin has been appointed leader of the Banjo Club, and R. H. Ware of the Mandolin Club. Any Freshman is eligible who can play the mandolin, mandola, guitar, ukelele, violin, 'cello, flute, clarinet, banjo, banjeaurine or drums.

The clubs will give several concerts during the spring, followed by dances and spreads.

The details of the class song competition will be announced later.
