In its first performance this year open to the public, the 47 Workshop will produce three one-act plays in the Agassiz Theatre, Radcliffe College, at 2 o'clock this afternoon. An evening performance will also be given at 8 o'clock this evening. The entire proceeds from the sale of tickets will be devoted to the Radcliffe Red Cross Auxiliary. The departure from the usual private performances was made with this purpose in view.

The three plays to be presented are written, acted and managed by students in Professor Baker's English 47 course, and are being produced under his direction. The names of the plays are "The Simms-Vane Incident," "Three Pills in a Bottle" and "The Good Men Do."

The cast of "The Simms-Vane Incident," written by J. E. Pillot Sp., is as follows: Miller, the Hawk,  W. G. Stetson Lucille, his accomplice,  Doris Halman 1G Miss Jones,  Margaret Carver, 1918 Mrs. Simms-Vane,  Christine Hayes Police Inspector,  N. S. Wolf '19 Garrity, a policeman,  M. E. Curti '20

Second Play by Miss Rachel Field.

The second play will be "Three Pills in a Bottle," by Miss Rachel Lyman Field, a graduate student at Radcliffe. The parts will be taken as follows: Tony,  G. P. Baker, Jr. The Widow, his mother,  Vianna Knowlton, 1917 A Middle-Aged Gentleman,  H. Scholle '18 His Soul,  E. Massey A Scissors Grinder,  S. Crocker His Soul,  J. E. Pillot Sp. A Scrub Woman, Beulah Auerbach, 1918 Her Soul,  Evelyn Chard

The third play, entitled "The Good Men Do," was written by Hubert Osborne, Sp., the holder of the MacDowell Fellowship awarded in Dramatic Composition.
