1920 SEVEN FACES MELROSE ON SOLDIERS FIELD RINK

Freshmen Hope to Duplicate Defeat of Milton in Third Game of Season.

HARVARD  MELROSE HIGH Payne, r.w.  l.w., Harrington Cabot, r.c.  l.c., Sanford Walker, l.c.  r.c., Leonard Trevor, l.w.  r.w., Hoft Church, c.p.  c.p., Roses Stubbs, p.  p., Hayward (Milton) Louderback, g.  g., Holden

The Freshman hockey team will oppose the Melrose high School seven in the third game of its season on the new rink at Soldiers Field this afternoon at 3.15 o'clock. With the team work of the 1920 players continuing to improve, the chances for a duplication of last Wednesday's performance against Milton are good. The improvement in the passing of the forward line is especially notable, the team work on the offensive being exceptional for this time of the season. F. C. Church, Jr., 20, J. Stubbs '20, and W. J. Louderback '20, who have been back in the game during the past week, will form, as against Milton, a reliable defensive trio and the mainstay of the Freshman team. Church showed his exceptional ability in rushing the puck in practice today by scoring five goals unaided against team B.

The Freshmen will line up as in the game against Milton except that E. Cabot '20 has been moved from right wing to right centre, taking the place of R. W. Emmons '20. R. G. Payne '20 will start at right wing. Another change in the squad was made yesterday when N. H. White '20 was taken on the squad in place of R. H. Post '20, who has dropped hockey to run on the relay team.

Melrose will present a strong lineup this afternoon, it having recently defeated Malden High by the score of 6 to 1. Both Leonard and Sanford are players of Exceptional scoring ability, while Captain Ross at coverpoint and Holden at goal are strong players.

The new rink may be reached by entering the gate opposite Newell Boathouse.
