Dean Roscoe Pound, of the Law School, was given the honorary degree of Doctor of Laws by the University of Chicago at its graduation exercise on Tuesday. In all 739 degrees were conferred.

Joseph Hodges Choate '52, of New York, N. Y., former ambassador to Great Britain, was yesterday awarded the degree of master of arts by Columbia University.
