Voting in the intercollegiate planetnaming contest will start in the CRIMSON Building this morning, where votes may be bought at 10 cents. All proceeds will go to the New York Allied Bazaar.

The planet to be named was recently discovered by Professor Joel H. Metcalf, of Winchester, and presented to the Allied Bazaar, which opened Saturday in the Grand Central Palace, New York. The college contributing the greatest number of votes will give the asteroid its name. The committee in charge consists of Professor Henry Norris Russell, director of the Princeton Observatory, and Hamilton Fish Strong. Working in conjunction with them are the various college newspapers, which are running branch contests to decide whether the name of the new planet will be Harvardiana, Yalensis, Tiga, Columbiana, Cornellia, or Pennsylvania. Princeton was not selected, as there is already a planet of that name.
