1. All men belonging to companies of the Second Battalion, who are placed upon the authorized Excused List for the Battalion drills on Tuesday afternoons, must attend, unless specifically excused, similar drills on Friday afternoons, with the First Battalion; and in like manner, members of the companies of the First Battalion, who are unable to attend the afternoon drills on Fridays, will be required, unless specifically excused, to attend the afternoon drills on Tuesday afternoons with the Second Battalion.
2. Men will report at the designated time to the company commanders of the following organizations:
From Company A to C. O., Company E.
From Company B to C. O., Company F.
From Company C to C. O., Company G.
From Company D to C. O., Company H.
From Company E to C. O., Company A.
From Company F to C. O., Company B.
From Company G to C. O., Company C.
From Company H to C. O., Company D.
3. Where it is absolutely impracticable, owing to illness, injury, college engagement, or other enforced absence, for the men to attend either of these afternoon drills, they will report to similar companies for the night drills, in addition to the regular drills prescribed for their own companies. This is absolutely necessary, in order to insure a standard of training for the Regiment and to enable the members to complete the "Schedule of Training" which will assure a uniform excellence of the whole in the military exercises and Review on Memorial Day.
4. Company commanders will assure themselves that their Sergeants, particularly those who are selected for this purpose, are thoroughly familiar with the duties of guides; namely, in maintaining the step, direction, trace and distance prescribed. Attention is particularly invited to paragraphs 20, 60, 167, 168, 169, 170, 172, 176, 179, 252, 273, 274 and 275, I. D. R.
The Harvard Regiment and Attached Sanitary Troops will assemble on the roadway, east of James Smith Hall, for a practice march, including advance and rear guards; tomorrow afternoon at 1.30 o'clock, under the supervision of the Regimental Commander. C. CORDIER, Captain, U. S. Army, Commanding.
