The 1919 tennis team defeated the Law School, 6 matches to 3, on Divinity Field, yesterday afternoon. The individual matches were all close. S. M. Stellwagen Gr.L. defeated Captain R. C. Rand '19, 6-2, 7-5, in one of the three matches in which the Law School was victorious.
The following is the summary: Singles--S. M. Stellwagen Gr.L. defeated Captain R. C. Rand '19, 6-2, 7-5; C. J. Coulter '19 defeated W. Hugus 3L., 6-3, 7-5; R. H. Kissell '19 defeated W. I. Badger 3L., 6-8, 8-6, 6-4; F. P. Ritchie '19 defeated H. C. Place 3L., 4-6, 6-2, 6-4; F. M. Warburg '19 defeated G. A. Davis 3L., 6-4, 6-3; F. W. Hatch '19 defeated B. H. Knollenberg 3L., 7-5, 10-8. Doubles--Stellwagen and Hugus defeated Rand and Coulter, 6-3, 7-5; Kissell and Ritchie defeated Badger and Place, 6-3, 3-6, 6-1; Knollenberg and Davis defeated Hatch and Stevenson, 6-1, 4-6, 6-3.
