Regimental Orders

General Orders, No. 11.

1. Under the provisions of paragraph 9--"Regulations for the Government of the Harvard Regiment"--the following promotions of officers, Harvard Regiment, are announced: To be Captains: Lieutenant David R. Hawkins 1L., assigned to Company B; Lieutenant Manvel H. Davis 1L., assigned to company E; Lieutenant Claude A. Adler uC., assigned to Company A; Lieutenant John S. Brumback 1L., assigned to company F; Lieutenant George C. Wilkins '18, assigned to Company D; Lieutenant Robert L. Davison sC., assigned to Company G; Lieutenant Harcourt Amory, Jr., '16, assigned to Company H; Lieutenant Stephen M. Foster '16, assigned to Company C. They will be obeyed and respected accordingly.

2. Under the provisions of paragraph 9--"Regulations for the Government of the Harvard Regiment"--the following appointments of officers, Harvard Regiment, are announced: To be Lieutenants: Demass Ellsworth Barnes 3G., Theodore Lambert DeCamp '16, Cecil Eaton Fraser uC., Walter Wesselhoef Hoffman '19, Charles Carroll Lund '16, A. 7. Upon the recommendation of the Medical Instructor, the following appointments of officers and non-commissioned officers, Attached Sanitary Troops, Harvard Regiment, are announced: To be Captain, Seth Marshall Fitchet 1M.; to be Sergeants, 1st class, Samuel Ayres, Jr., 1M., William Harold Foster 2M., William Cysenus Sheffield 2M.; to be Sergeants, Thomas R. Goethals 4M., Derric C. Parmenter 3M., Paul Richmond Withington 4M.; to be Corporals, William Hulbert Barrow 4M., Joseph Garland 1M., Phillips F. Green 1M., Gilbert Edmond Haggart 1M., John Norton Shirley 3M., Ellsworth Allen Stone 1M. They will be obeyed and respected accordingly.

Individuals will assemble in Persis Smith Hall for preliminary instruction in sighting drills for the rifle from 10 until 12 o'clock and from 1.30 until 3 o'clock, under the supervision of Sergeants Bryan and Gavigan, U.S.A.

Provisional companies will assemble on Soldiers Field for drill with arms from 3 until 4.30 o'clock, under the supervision of the Assistant Instructors and Company Officers.

Companies A, B, C, and D will assemble in the roadway, east of James Smith Hall, for drill with arms at 5.10 o'clock under the supervision of the Regimental Commander.

The Non-Commissioned Officers' School will assemble in Emerson D for recitation at 7.30 o'clock, under the supervision of the Regimental Commander.  C. CORDIER,  Captain, U. S. Army,  Commanding
